Elan's years of experience in the field of photography allow him to offer unique services for you and your family. Elan is fully immersed in the digital age, but maintains a strong connection to the roots of photography. For this reason he offers his work on many different media including digital (CD, DVD, or your own zip drive or external drive) Film, Slide, and his favorite for sheer beauty and classic authenticity - Black and White Film. Elan is a classically trained photographer (Penn State University) who has become an expert in the field of Digital Photography and Digital Imaging. He teaches Digital Imaging, and consults with many Visual Artists to help them enter the Digital Age, Maintain an efficient work flow, and learn the techniques and concepts needed to be successful in this day and age. To this end he has worked with Graphic Designers, Web Designers, Photographers, Illustrators, Fabric Designer, Painters, and other professional Visual Artists. Elan has worked as a photojournalist, Photo Lab Manager, Photography Teacher (both Digital and Traditional), and had even put in a good five years as a starving artist - living off gallery shows and spontaneous photography commissions (ah, those were the days).
